Little Giant 1.5-MDQ-SC (589200) is a Magnetic Drive Inline Aquarium Pump 1/30 HP, 6' power cord, 115 V - SC Quarium Series for semi-corrosive salt solutions and chemicals, designed for in-line saltwater and freshwater aquarium circulation and filtration applications.The Little Giant 1.5-MDQ-SC has 1/2" MNPT Discharge and 1/2" MNPT Intake with head capacity of 12.5'. The 'Quarium Series Pump features leakproof, seal-less magnetic drive. 1.5-MDQ-SC Aquarium Pump is installed external to the aquarium and filtration systems, and is generally mounted below the aquarium in the cabinet that houses the filtration systems. The impeller driven magnet is coated ceramagnet A (barium ferrite) type ceramic. The O-ring seals are nitrile (Buna-N). 'Quarium Series MDQ model was built to handle back pressure very well and is recommended for high head heights or for canister filtration systems. The Volute, magnet housing and impeller of 1.5-MDQ-SC are glass-filled polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance. Little Giant's powerful 1/30 HP thermally protected, totally enclosed, motor delivers 325 GPH of fluids at 1' total dynamic head. Ceramic shaft and thrust washers are 99.5 pure alumina provide unparalleled wear and trouble-free service. This magnetic drive pump is designed to operate more quietly for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
